CUSTOM ORDERS

“Custom Design” can mean a lot of things in the wedding world, but to us it means that we start from scratch to create something 100% one-of-a-kind. We here at Love Bird Invites approach each custom order as a new inspiration and strive to produce an invitation suite that is unique and completely yours. Since every invitation is different, we quote each job separately.

CUSTOM DESIGN PROCESS

The process starts with a phone call, email conversation, or meeting where we gather all of your ideas and inspiration. The more detail you provide us the better; consider bringing along or emailing us photos of your dress, flowers, cake, wedding venue, color palette and/or a list of your likes and dislikes.

We ask questions about your wedding and what types of ideas you may have for your invitations. We love hearing how our clients met and if there are any interesting or memorable parts to your relationship that you’d like to integrate into your invitations. Share your stories with us -it will help us to make your invitations more personalized and one-of-a-kind! We also love a good Pinterest board with lots of comments and direction, so please don’t hesitate to share!

CRAFTING AN ESTIMATE

Once we collect as much information as we can about your invitation needs, we create an estimate that will read like a menu: each piece will be itemized so you may select the things you would like to move ahead with. This document outlines the different costs associated with your preferred stationery pieces. We view the estimate process as an opportunity to discuss the different ways that we can make a truly-one-of-a-kind suite for your wedding! Oftentimes the proposal and estimation process can take around a week or so to complete.

Once you decide to work with us, a 50% deposit will be due and then the design process will begin!

THE DESIGN AND PRINTING PROCESS

The initial design process takes little over a week upon our receipt of your invitation content and 50% deposit. You will receive two completely original and one-of-a-kind designs that will arrive as a Digital PDF Presentation and contain your invitation design only. We see the invite as the star of the show, and once we hear your feedback as to which design of the two you’d like to move forward with, we work to fine-tune this piece before applying the refined style to the remaining pieces of your suite, such as your RSVP card, envelopes, etc. Your second Design Presentation will include a revised invitation and the completed suite. Your design fee includes two complimentary rounds of revisions: one for your invite only, and one for all of your remaining pieces. Any revisions made beyond the complimentary round incurs a revision fee, so be sure to gather your comments in a succinct email! It helps to expedite the process and saves you money.

Once you feel completely happy with your invitation design, we will require you to email us final approval of your proof. Your order will not be printed until we receive your approval.

THE FINISHED PRODUCT

Off to print! Printing and delivery takes around two weeks. We will keep you updated during this process so you know when to expect your purchase. Please keep in mind that your final payment is due before we mail your stationery to you. Now all you have to do is sit back and wait for those little gems to arrive in the mail!
